Their life span can be as long as 10-15 years old.

They can scratch and Adult supervision is recommended.

Getting a young rabbit is best so you can work with it.

Clean water available at all times.

A good brand of local rabbit pellet feed. You will be sent home with their current feed

Keep cool in the summer (heat stroke is a number one killer).

Keep warm in the winter.

Proper shelter from sun, rain, wind, snow

Wire cage to let manure fall through- if using trays clean at least once a week.

Resting mats to allow your rabbit to step on something other than the wire.

Read as many books as you can on raising and training your rabbit.

A lot depends on the socialization you give your rabbit.

Find and research your rabbit breed and the breeder thoroughly before buying.

Manure

​Rabbit manure can make an excellent garden fertilizer.

​Rabbit urine can burn plants, so make sure the manure is some what dry.

Using a compost bin and combining the manure, worms, and plant material mixed in can create nice dark compost for your garden.
Pelts
10$/ per pelt
15$/ per tanned hide
Our rabbit pelts will only be collected from November - March to ensure the highest quality pelts. This means we wait until 6 months to butcher our growouts and have a very limited supply.​
